WorkPoint Partner Day 2024 – Driving Partner Success
Breaking last year’s record, more than 60 participants attended this year’s WorkPoint Partner Day held at Classic Car House in Lyngby, Copenhagen on October 3rd. Surrounded by over 300 classic cars, the event was supercharged by the theme of acceleration. As ever, the day was packed full of exciting content including inspirational speakers, innovative insights, and of course, our annual awards show.
Welcoming our Partner Community for the first time was Chief Commercial Officer, Aaren Ekelund.
It was an amazing day and place, full of classic cars from throughout history. There was a reason we chose it. Everything going on right now with AI builds on legacy – just like the cars we drive today.
A license to go somewhere
Remember when the Cloud was new? Over a decade ago, most businesses were running servers. Today we work in a completely different world. Office has become Microsoft 365. Hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud, organisations always have the latest and greatest version of Office apps. Powerful document collaboration tools have fundamentally changed the way we work. Who’d have thought it?
Anne Skare Nielsen – the world-class futurist and speaker – worked with Microsoft on the original launch of Office 365. Fast-forward to 2024, and another technology is changing the world. In the opening keynote of WorkPoint Partner Day 2024, Anne Skare shared her insights into the future of AI and Copilot, and how our partners and their customers can prepare for the changes ahead.
Anne Skare used a great analogy – a driving license for the future. You get a driving license to drive a car. But that doesn’t mean you know everything about cars or where you’re going. You get a driving license to go somewhere. It’s the same with AI.
Driving possibilities with Microsoft Copilot
Taking partners further along the road on their AI journey, Microsoft Partner Technology Strategist, Massimo Giulio Caterino explored the latest innovations and the transformative effect of Microsoft Copilot on various industries.
To demonstrate the possibilities, he engineered a collaboration between three separate AI personas: a CTO, a marketer, and a salesperson. Their task? Make a calculator. We watched the code running, AIs communicating with each other, and figuring out the design of the calculator. Sure enough, there and then, they made it happen.
Getting behind the wheel of AI
Kickstarted by two fascinating and thought-provoking keynotes on the technological possibilities of AI, the stage was set for WorkPoint leaders, including CPO Riem Zouzou, and CTO Martin Nürnberg Gundertofte to explore how that technology translates at a business level.
The big question right now is: what do CEOs really think about AI? A recent study of CEOs by Gartner uncovered their number one strategic priority is ‘growth’ with ‘technology’ not far behind. Digging deeper into the tech side, it revealed that 34% of CEOs see AI as the next big thing in business transformation after digital.
One of the main challenges they’re facing is this: AI tools are ineffective unless data and documents are held in a secure place where AI can understand and leverage them in a way that supports internal governance and compliance rules. So we took a moment to showcase what’s happening with WorkPoint and AI, ensuring organisations are AI-ready and creating solutions that help our customers.
Better together, moving forward
There were two big announcements at this year’s Partner Day. The first was that we’re officially retiring the previous version of WorkPoint. Like Microsoft 365, WorkPoint 365 will now be evergreen and always updated. The second big announcement was that we’ve released a new version of one of our most popular products – WorkPoint Express.
In the afternoon, our breakout sessions focused on supporting partners with their marketing and sales processes in order to build more business. We welcomed new partners and facilitated networking and discussion. There’s obviously competition between partners, but there are also a lot of blue oceans – plenty of market to go around – and it was great to see so many competitors learning from each other.
Partners saw opportunities to team up and get their services into new markets. Our theme for the day was ‘accelerating our business together’.
Celebrating success in the Partner community
In the evening, the spotlight turned to WorkPoint Partners – and their standout successes this year – at the annual award show. Fellowmind picked up two major awards – ‘Partner Of The Year’ and ‘Co-Selling Partner Of The Year’.
Having leaned heavily into new co-selling opportunities with WorkPoint. Spektra ehf collected the award for ‘Growth Partner Of The Year’. This collaborative approach to marketing and sales is something we’d really like to do with more WorkPoint Partners in the next year. On top of the main Partner Awards, we also celebrated the success of specific individuals with the Fellows Of The Year category. We published a full list on LinkedIn.
Another year, another great Partner Day. We hope to see you all again for next year’s event!
